Business Coach Personal Branding

I’m writing this blog post as my business is approaching its 7th week of the Coronavirus COVID-19 shutdown.  We’ve been on complete lockdown and, honestly, its given me time to reflect. I was thinking back to this classic shoot with my former business coach, Juan Ortega.

Juan was working on a special project and needed to freshen up his headshot collection. We decided to create a custom branding portrait session for him; we added a variety of poses and a slight change of outfit.

The background, lighting and styling choices all stem from a brand analysis of Juan’s company coupled with his own personality. The Brand Analysis is so vital to the success of a shoot that it gets conducted with all my clients.

Juan is the consummate professional. He has a background in the luxury hotel industry and his understanding of consumers and their spending habits is a huge advantage for his clients. As a professional business coach, not only is he an expert on all aspects of business principles such as sales and marketing, but he’s got the Midas touch when it comes to motivating his clients to success.

This pandemic hasn’t slowed him down either. His Facebook Action Coach page is lively with practical, actionable advice and he is even hosting an event for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce called Marketing Your Business During an Economic Recovery and the takeaways are invaluable.

We settled on this beautiful gray background to compliment his dashing black shirt and jacket. We did some shots in a full suit and then we changed into jeans for a semi-casual look. Although the variety

The lighting is also quite purposeful in that we wanted to add drama to the portrait. I love how high-end this branding session looks.  Its a strong support for his brand: Juan Ortega: Action Coach!
