TW: Images of bondage
Ms. E is so powerful!
She came into the studio with the coolest props! Cowboy boots and a hat, a giant rifle, some handcuffs and the prettiest lingerie! What to do!?!
I always invite my clients to be creative and bring things to their sessions that make them feel like themselves. Ms. E did her Pinterest board and a little homework and came up with the things that she felt defined her most.
We wanted to capture all different sides of her personality: the sporty cross-fit addict, the powerful vixen, an accomplished markswoman, the cool equestrian and, above-all, the brave and beautiful woman she is. She arrived a bit nervous, just like all my other clients, but she quickly found herself in the session. Strength comes in all shapes and sizes and sometimes vulnerability is the most courageous act of all. I love that we got to explore so many sides of her.
You can see her confidence in the images! I’m super proud of this warrior woman!
*Um… little note…. no, you can’t just show up with weapons to the session LOL Special conversations and dispensation required.
As a Fort Lauderdale Boudoir photographer, I get asked what props to bring to a boudoir shoot all the time. The answer is that its totally up to you! Some folks are empowered by bringing special pieces - like one client who brought her mother’s jewelry. Other clients are empowered by being purists - simply themselves and nothing more. As always, thank you to the clients who give of themselves in sharing their private images here. We are grateful for your vulnerability and courage. These images are shared so that future clients can see what is possible. If you find yourself feeling triggered by these images, please seek professional assistance from a qualified therapist.
