Greetings from the Mountains!
I am thrilled to announce that Graciela Laurent Photography has planted roots in the gorgeous Appalachian Mountain town of Murphy, North Carolina 28906.
Located in the Western North Carolina region, Murphy is located just a few minutes from the Georgia and Tennessee borders. We are close to towns in Georgia like Blue Ridge, Blairsville, McCayesville, Ellijay, Helen and Hiawassee. In North Carolina, we are close to beautiful small towns like Andrews, Marble, Robbinsville, Highlands and Cashiers. Finally, in Tennessee, Copperhill isn’t far, same with Cleveland and a ton of other gorgeous spots in these mountains.
The Town of Murphy is known for being “2 hours from everywhere” – we are 2 hours north of Atlanta, GA; 2 hours southwest of Asheville, NC; 2 hours east of Chattanooga, TN; and 2 hours southeast of Knoxville, TN. Best airports near us are ATL (Atlanta, GA) and TYS (McGhee Tyson in Maryville-Knoxville).
Steps from the Nantahala National Forest, this area is well-known for its outdoor activities – whitewater rafting, hiking trails, waterfalls, mountain biking, horseback riding and more. The Town itself has a gorgeously famous Riverwalk where you can be immersed in nature while remaining steps from the city center. The shoppes are quaint and the restaurants with amazing food are plentiful.

One of the things that continuously surprises me is how a simple trip to the grocery store feels like a vacation since you are literally driving through the mountains and the views are just soooo gorgeous everywhere you go! No crowds, no lines, no traffic. Just good, ole’ southern hospitality with a view.
So, let’s talk about Boudoir and Personal Branding a bit! As a boudoir photographer in Murphy, North Carolina, I am thrilled to bring my near 13 years of experience to this beautiful community. Boudoir photography is not just a pretty picture, (although yes, they ARE gorgeous!) it’s a full experience in self-confidence and self-love, which is so essential to our wellbeing.
The exact location of the new studio space is still a secret as I write this blog, as it is being built out, but ohhhhh, is it going to be amazing when it is ready! Surrounded by luxury and the earth itself, this space will allow me to create the sisterhood community I so dearly love. Think along the lines of my gorgeous velvet furniture vibe all while nestled in a wooded, magical forested piece of land. Just wait till I show you!
Being a professional personal branding photographer in Murphy, means I create custom portraits for real estate agents, doctors, lawyers, restaurants, breweries, entrepreneurs and c-suite executives alike, I’m excited to create photo portrait sessions that are beyond the traditional headshot. We get lots of folks traveling both to FL and NC for their sessions and we can help you plan your experience as well. It is not uncommon for folks to travel from as far as California or even the Caribbean. We make it special and worthwhile every time.
Of course, we very much remain close to our roots in South Florida where we have gone fully remote. All photoshoots in South Florida will be on location wherever inspiration takes us.
